Opera Mobile 9.5 beta for pocket PCs

Opera software ASA had showcased their newest web browser in this year’s 3GSM congress in February. The browser termed as iPhone’s safari “killer” based on latest opera’s Presto rendering engine has been released as beta for all touch based pocket PCs. The mobile web browser even in its beta is miles ahead of the old internet explorer mobile, which is default browser for all pocket PCs.

HTC Touch Diamond, now with quad band support

HTC touch diamond launched recently has been quite a popular phone here in Europe. But essentially it is a tri-band mobile phone, so it doesn’t allow roaming over in Americas as they run on quad band 850MHz frequencies. Even the global version made its debut almost a month ago, American frequencies version is still to see daylight.

Nokia already announced its supernova collection for female audience last month. Here we preview one of the handset from it, the Nokia 7610 supernova. Samsung i740, does it have enough teeth to bite?

Here comes another crippled smartphone from Samsung. They just announced SGH i740, a phone targeted at budget users, who don’t expect much from their mobile phones. Unlike i900 omnia, which is a fully blown smartphone with all the high-end features loaded. The i740 reduces the cost by lack of a 5megapixel shooter, a wi-fi solution and further there is no 3G or HSDPA.

Philips X800, a dud even before it is launched

Philips have been again on launching spree of their mediocre (take it as boring) handset range. They have yesterday announced new Philips X800. The specs are truly below average by any standards and the phone itself is not even a smartphone. With such a poorly armed device if Philips is trying to capture some share in the market, then they must reconsider their plans again.

Motorola W231 announced for music lovers

Well, Motorola has announced another mobile phone for music centered audience. W231 as it is called is an entry level music phone, which comes in a candy bar form factor. It is one of the first phones from Motorola featuring dedicated music buttons on top of the handset. Dedicated play pause, skip and rewind buttons as well as music application shortcut key.

Motorola announces Z200 for Brazil

Motorola got approval for another lot of their mid-range mobile handsets from FCC today. The new handsets are Moto ZN200 and Moto W231. With the approval from FCC done, they will be launching these handsets in September, 2008 in Brazil and later on in America and maybe Europe.
