iPhone 3g
It was highly anticipated, even since the launch of it’s predecessor the original iPhone, but finally, in July 2008 the iPhone 2 (or 3g as it’s being referred to), was released.

The main obvious upgrade of the new phone is the addition of 3g functionality, with other key new features including GPS and the new app store which gives both iPod Touch and iPhone 3g users access to a whole plethora of new games and applications for their mobile devices.
Although Apple have received some criticism for missing what some believe to be out-dated elements of the phone (The camera is only 2mp), the updates and changes to the core operating system, along with the addition of key business functions such as push email have truly turned this mobile phone into a smart device.
3G iPhone Features Include
- The Trademark Apple Touchscreen iPhone interface
- The addition of 3g finctionality (finally)
- GPS that currently ties in with Google Maps (But we wonder how long it will be until someone writes a tom-tom-esque application for the device (Sounds like they are already working on it)
- 3rd Party applications that can be used outside of a web browser!
- 8GB and 16GB versions
